It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Woodberry Forest ultimately got the result they hoped for two weeks ago. They walked away with a 27-20 win over St. Christopher's. The victory was familiar territory for Woodberry Forest who now have three in a row.
Woodberry Forest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Ferguson out in front who picked up 70 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Woodberry Forest also got a significant boost from Savion Hiter, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
Meanwhile, Trinity Episcopal didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against St. Christopher's on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 28-24 win.
Woodberry Forest's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 3-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points per game. As for Trinity Episcopal, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Woodberry Forest was taken down by Trinity Episcopal 55-28 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Woodberry Forest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
