West Boca Raton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Coral Springs get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The Bulls' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Araya Brunner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brunner was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Madison Luft was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Villon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
West Boca Raton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .880. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monarch, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Olympic Heights with a sharp 17-1 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Monarch got a massive performance out of Mylie Carlson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Faith Lindeman was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
The victory got Monarch back to even at 10-10. As for West Boca Raton, their record is now 5-13.
West Boca Raton skirted past Monarch 13-11 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Bulls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
