After four games on the road, Columbia Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Cornerstone Christian Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Columbia Christian suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Garrett Memorial Christian, falling 57-17. Columbia Christian was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Cornerstone Christian, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They suffered a rough 42-17 defeat at the hands of West Side Christian two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, Cornerstone Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while West Side Christian is ranked 134th).
Columbia Christian dropped their record down to 3-20 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Cornerstone Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Everything came up roses for Columbia Christian against Cornerstone Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2023 as the team secured a 42-14 victory.
