Kings Mountain relied on the efforts of Mia Bridges, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds and three steals, and Farri Martin, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Martin also posted two blocks for the first time this season. La'Zya Byrd was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, even though Bessemer City scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, Shelby still came out on top. Shelby had just enough and edged Bessemer City out 67-65.
Kings Mountain's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-16. As for Shelby, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.
