The Carnegie Wildcats lost against the Binger-Oney Bobcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Carnegie took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. While losing is never fun, Carnegie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Bobcats are ranked 102nd).
Carnegie lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Paden Jackson, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Eddie Mandrell, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Carnegie and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for Binger-Oney, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carnegie will take on the at TBD on Friday. Olustee/Eldorado is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Binger-Oney, they will be playing at home against the Chieftains on Saturday.
