Brayden Lawson Turns in Season-Best Performance
Marmaton Valley was led to victory by Brayden Lawson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Lawson rushed for 146 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks, forcing two fumbles, and making 15 total tackles.
Lawson is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against St. Paul on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lawson saw the Indians), he threw for 346 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
