Brush's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thatcher Queen led the charge by putting up nine points and five steals. Those five steals gave Queen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Aguilar Saucedo, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points and six boards.
Brush was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wray only six assists.
Meanwhile, on FridayDenver Christian kept up with Forge Christian until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Forge Christian really took it to Denver Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-47 victory. The Fury have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Forge Christian's win came from a few key players Brush will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Levi Clark, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points and five steals. He also put up a block, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jakan Sederwall, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 20 points and three steals.
Brush's record now sits at 11-12. As for Forge Christian, their record now sits at 16-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Brush has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 23.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Forge Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.2 boards.
