The Chaminade Eagles were the 36-35 winner over the Bishop Amat Lancers when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Chaminade took a hard 35-17 fall against Bishop Amat on Friday. It was the first time this season that Chaminade let down their fans at home.
Seth Shigg rushed for 81 yards, and also threw for 172 yards and a touchdown. Logan Carpenter was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards.
Chaminade's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bishop Amat, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Chaminade will head out on the road to face off against Sierra Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Canyon is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Bishop Amat, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Notre Dame (SO) at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Notre Dame (SO) is ranked 55th, while Bishop Amat is ranked 37th).
