The Port Angeles Roughriders will head out on the road to face off against the Tumwater Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Port Angeles comes in on four and Tumwater on 11.
Franklin Pierce typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Port Angeles proved too difficult a challenge. Port Angeles came out on top against Franklin Pierce by a score of 28-18.
Meanwhile, Tumwater put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 55-13 win over Ridgefield at home. Given Tumwater's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Ridgefield is ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Peyton Davis was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Davis really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Port Angeles has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Tumwater, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
