After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valley, the LaFayette Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Troup County 53-50. This was payback for LaFayette, who suffered a 66-39 loss the last time these two teams met.
LaFayette got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Vaderrian Story out in front who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Story has scored at least 25% of LaFayette's points. Branaviyun Story was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 16 rebounds.
LaFayette now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Troup County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
LaFayette will be playing at home against Trinity Presbyterian at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Presbyterian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 335 points over their last five games. As for Troup County, they will head out on the road to face off against Fayette County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
