After flying high against Odessa  last Saturday, Wilbur-Creston-Keller came back down to earth. The Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats took  a  43-24 bruising from the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors on Tuesday.  Despite the  defeat, Wilbur-Creston-Keller saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Brystal Neilsen  went 7 for 15  on her way to 20  points and six  rebounds. That was a full 83.3% of Wilbur-Creston-Keller's points, marking the third time in a row she's   posted  more than a third of the team's points.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, the  victory was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilbur-Creston-Keller won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Oakesdale  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Oakesdale's defense has only allowed 24.8  points per game  this season, so Wilbur-Creston-Keller's offense will have their work cut out for them. Almira-Coulee-Hartline and Valley Christian will compete for holiday cheer  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Almira-Coulee-Hartline is facing Valley Christian at the right time seeing as Valley Christian is stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak.
