After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three games, the Strong Rock Christian Patriots finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They were beaten by St. Anne-Pacelli 65-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Strong Rock Christian has scored all season.
Strong Rock Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Blake Burghardt and Zach Upton. Burghardt scored four points along with five rebounds, while Upton scored six points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Strong Rock Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Strong Rock Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Strong Rock Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Thomas Henderson and Zack Phillips. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Heritage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
