Central has gone 7-2 against Huntingdon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dragons will challenge the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Central's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Bishop Guilfoyle on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Dragons had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the Marauders. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Marauders are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Huntingdon hadn't done well against Clearfield recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bearcats slipped by the Bison 28-27. The game was the first time the Bearcats have beaten the Bison on their field since September 15, 2017.

Central better focus on containing Elliott Guisler and Landon Erdman as the pair were huge in Huntingdon's win. Guisler rushed for 70 yards and one TD, while Erdman rushed for 124 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. What's more, Guisler racked up 76 passing yards, the most he's had since back in August of 2024.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Huntingdon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Central was able to grind out a solid win over Huntingdon when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 30-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
