Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lewisburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allison Irby, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Irby has scored at least 25% of Lewisburg's points. Another player making a difference was Allie Carroll, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds.
Lewisburg is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewisburg is on the road again on Friday and play against Hernando at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Independence, they will take on North Panola at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (North Panola is ranked 50th, while Independence is ranked 56th).
