The Cactus Cobras lost against the Dysart Demons back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cactus was beaten by Dysart 69-24. Cactus has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Torah Dial was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven steals for Dysart. Dial is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lieyla Albino, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.
Cactus dropped their record down to 5-18 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.3 points per game. As for Dysart, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 20-9 record this season.
Cactus will head out on the road to take on Moon Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Moon Valley is ranked 250th, while Cactus is ranked 243rd). Dysart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
