Riverdale made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Monmouth-Roseville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rams put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 10-2 win on Monday. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Tyler Nadolson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Nadolson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Jack Wages was excellent, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Brady Junis was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Riverdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, East Moline United entered their tilt with Alleman on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 7-4.
Issac Roman looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Christian Peterson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zach Darras, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
East Moline United's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Riverdale, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
