Maple River proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Loyola Crusaders. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four games in a row.

Maple River's win bumped their record up to 5-10-1. As for Loyola, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Maple River has already played their next match (against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Loyola, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman on the 20th.
