Vincent Memorial pushed their score all the way to 74 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to San Ysidro 78-74. Vincent Memorial has not had much luck with San Ysidro recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite their loss, Vincent Memorial saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Pancho Tejada, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 assists, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was Tejada's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Manuel Talavera was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Southwest EC didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Twentynine Palms back in November, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southwest EC.
