Basketball Recap: Pleasanton's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Arcadia/Loup City on Friday, Pleasanton came back down to earth. Pleasanton took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shelton on Tuesday. Pleasanton hasn't had much luck with Shelton recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Pleasanton lost, don't look at Brennan Lindner. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Lindner's third in a row with at least 22 points. Another player making a difference was Braxton Eilensteine, who posted nine points.

Jaxson Ohlman was a one-man wrecking crew For Shelton. as he dropped a double-double with 34 points and 11 boards. Ohlman is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Drake Power was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pleasanton fell to 2-1. As for Shelton, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasanton will welcome Bertrand at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shelton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kenesaw on Friday. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
