Lane Tech posted their closest win since April 12th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Amundsen Vikings 6-5. The Champions haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Charles Lust looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Henry Murray, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Trapp, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and one stolen base.

Lane Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Amundsen struck out 12 times.

Lane Tech's record is now 14-9. As for Amundsen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Lane Tech didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-6 win against Lincoln Park on the 30th. As for Amundsen, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-0 defeat against Von Steuben on the 30th.
