The Ambrose School has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Marsing Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
The Ambrose School fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Cole Valley Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 57-54. The Ambrose School has not had much luck with Cole Valley Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Marsing's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Compass Charter.
The Ambrose School's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3. As for Marsing, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-6.
The Ambrose School was able to grind out a solid victory over Marsing when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 51-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Ambrose School since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
