Even though Piedmont Hills has not done well against James Lick recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Piedmont Hills skirted past James Lick 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Piedmont Hills.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of

Meanwhile, Gilroy faced off against San Jose for the first time this season, and Gilroy walked away the winners. They beat San Jose by a goal, winning 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Gilroy as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
The win got Piedmont Hills back to even at 5-5-1. As for Gilroy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5-2 record this season.
