That result was just more of the same for these two, as Schenevus Central also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Franklin Central saw an underclassman step up: Shannon Kingsbury scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was Kingsbury's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Schenevus Central's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Franklin Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Schenevus Central will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sharon Springs Central at 5:30 p.m. on January 16, 2024. As for Franklin Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Richfield Springs Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
