2A/3A KingCo recap October 1, 2013
Mount Si extended the longest winning streak in 2A/3A KingCo this week by beating Interlake, 34-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Wildcats.
Mount Si took down the Saints 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Elliott Phillips provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Lake Washington lost to Bellevue.
Court Osborn was the best receiver in the league this week as the Kangaroos fell to the Wolverines. Sam Pliska helped Lake Washington's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 13 yards.
Lake Washington's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Kangaroos feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nick Young has thrown for 420 yards this season, while Josh Wikel has 14 catches for 208 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Bellevue takes on Juanita. As it stands, Butch Goncharoff's team is in second, while the Rebels are in third.
Juanita made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,400 from 1,789. The improvement was the result of a 55-21 victory over Liberty last week.
