4A District 2 recap November 19, 2013
Douglass added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week by beating Elgin, 63-28. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Trojans.
Douglass led the league in scoring this week after putting up 63 points on the Owls. Deondre Clark ran for 130 yards and caught 2 passes for 11 yards in the win.
Willis Alexander's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Patrick McKaufman threw for 23 yards and Clark had 11 yards receiving. On the ground Clark chipped in 130 yards. Brian Williams helped Douglass' passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 10 yards.
Clark provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Trojans defeated Elgin.
Clark was the best running back in the league this week. Anthony Jackson also contributed to the rushing game with 122 yards on the ground.
Douglass' McKaufman and Isiah Shaputis have formed a dream team this season, leading 4A District 2 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback McKaufman has thrown for 1,955 yards this season, while Shaputis has 28 catches for 769 yards. Tyler Gibson from Mannford leads the league in rushing with 1,610 yards.
Entering into this week's contest against Oologah, McKaufman is short just 45 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
Harrah led the league in points allowed with 27.
