Waldron has been on the road for five straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Milan Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Waldron focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
A well-balanced attack led Waldron over Edinburgh in every quarter on their way to victory. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Waldron blew Edinburgh out of the water with a 65-33 final score. The victory was just what Waldron needed coming off of a 61-36 defeat in their prior match.
Waldron's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Audrey Hogg, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Lindsey, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Milan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 53-30 walloping at the hands of Oldenburg Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Milan in their matchups with Oldenburg Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Waldron's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Milan, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
Waldron came up short against Milan in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 57-46. Will Waldron have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
