Softball Recap: Central Christian Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

After losing to West Florida Baptist Academy the last time they met, Central Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Saints walked away with a 12-8 win over the Conquerors on Friday. Central Christian's victory was all the more impressive since the Conquerors were averaging only 3.42 runs allowed on the season.

Central Christian pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 15.8 runs this season. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.

Coming up, Central Christian will be playing at home against Rocky Bayou Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they will head out to take on Snook Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Conquerors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
