In what's become a running theme this season, the Vista PEAK Prep Bison gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by Denver North at home to the tune of 76-37. Winning may never get old, but Vista PEAK Prep sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Kyree Polk continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Carrizales, who scored nine points along with six assists.
When it comes to explaining why Denver North lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacob Giron. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points.
Denver North struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Vista PEAK Prep pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Vista PEAK Prep's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Denver North, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Vista PEAK Prep will head out on the road to challenge the Ravens at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Denver South is ranked 31st, while the Bison are ranked 18th). As for Denver North, they will be playing at home against the Commanders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
