The St. Louis Sharks were the 50-45 winner over the Valley Lutheran Chargers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. St. Louis lost to the Chargers on the road by a decisive 63-48 margin on Monday. St. Louis has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Elijah Wolter was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Valley Lutheran. Wolter has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Flood, who scored eight points.
St. Louis dropped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Valley Lutheran, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
St. Louis will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. As for Valley Lutheran, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
