Alva's margin of victory (36 points) marked the biggest win the team has had all season. The triumph also thrust it into the power rankings, where the team now holds the 23rd spot.
Can't Touch This
Stillwater got a 49 - 28 win over Deer Creek last week, and a key reason for the win was sophomore Qwontrel Walker. Walker rushed for 308 yards and four touchdowns. That performance made Walker one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Bethany (4th in the power rankings) and Blanchard (11th). Bethany was able to grind out a solid victory over Blanchard, winning 24 - 13. The triumph boosted Bethany a satisfying five spots in the power rankings.
Movin on Up
Weatherford will have a better view of things this week after its strong showing last week propelled it six spots up the power rankings. That was the biggest rise of the week. It took its game against Elgin by a confident 22 - 0 score. Weatherford found its leader in an underclassman: Ethan Downs rushed for 63 yards and scored on two receptions, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players.
