After flying high against the Etowah Blue Devils on Friday, the Hazel Green Trojans came back down to earth. Hazel Green fell just short of Guntersville by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Hazel Green couldn't push the score so high this time.
Their goal came courtesy of
Reanna Chapman, who's now up to five this season.
Hazel Green's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Guntersville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Hazel Green didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat vs. Springville on the 10th. Guntersville will be playing at home against Oxford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Guntersville's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Oxford's offense will have their work cut out for them.
