Chester came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over the Surprise Valley Hornets. The Volcanoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Surprise Valley still got an impressive performance from Casey Grove, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Grove has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Andrew Eichstadt, who posted six points.

Chester has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Surprise Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Chester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-47 defeat against Plumas Charter on the 21st. As for Surprise Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-43 loss against Burney on the 21st.
