Jefferson is 1-8 against St. Pius X since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Jefferson Blue Jays will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Pius X Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Jefferson will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Jefferson didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Saxony Lutheran, but they still walked away with a 60-54 victory.
Meanwhile, even though St. Louis HomeSchool P scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, St. Pius X still came out on top. St. Pius X walked away with a 69-61 victory over St. Louis HomeSchool P. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Pius X.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for St. Pius X, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Everything went Jefferson's way against St. Pius X in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Jefferson made off with a 83-60 win. Does Jefferson have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Pius X turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
