Martin County has won four straight games at home, while Forest Hill has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Martin County Tigers will welcome the Forest Hill Falcons at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Martin County's win against South Fork wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Martin County had just enough and edged out South Fork 2-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Michael Sanchez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Martin County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalton French, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Forest Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Royal Palm Beach 11-10. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Yampiel Chavez made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Chavez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Forest Hill's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Victor Garcia, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alex Seal, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Forest Hill's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Martin County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Martin County has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Forest Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Martin County skirted past Forest Hill 2-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Martin County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forest Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
