River Valley extended the longest winning streak in 8-Man District 1 (8 Man) this week by beating Harris-Lake Park, 38-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Wolverines.
Whiting lost to Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between River Valley and the Eagles. The Wolverines comes into the matchup ranked fifth in the state, while Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn ranks sixth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when River Valley takes on Brad Cave's team. The Wolverines have allowed 67 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 117. River Valley allowed 14 points last week as it defeated the Wolves.
Remsen-Union led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Clay Central-Everly.
