The scores gave the senior six touchdowns for the year.
Canyon del Oro (Tucson, Ariz.) was up 34-18 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Isaac Chacon in the first quarter.
A 0-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Dorados, as they pushed the final margin of victory to 28.
Coming into the game Canyon del Oro had allowed 25.5 points per game this year. CO held firm on the defensive front, and kept
Marana (Tucson, Ariz.) well below the 27.4 points it had been averaging per game.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Dorados came away with a 41-21 victory.
The loss comes after Marana defeated Amphitheater 47-13 last week. The victory was a step in the right direction for Canyon del Oro, which was coming off a 24-21 defeat at the hands of Tucson High Magnet School in its previous game. The loss snapped the Tigers' 3-game winning streak.
In a II Section II game next week Marana (3-6) takes on Catalina Foothills, and Canyon del Oro (3-6) will go up against Amphitheater in a non-conference game.
