The Grant Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Hart Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Grant is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Grant's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Kent City. The matchup marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Blake Rider made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.
Meanwhile, Hart beat Hesperia 8-5 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.
Sawyer Boos and Caden VanGelderen did most of the damage at the plate: Boos went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while VanGelderen went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Mason Guikema, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Hart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Grant's record is now 9-3. As for Hart, their record now sits at 6-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Grant has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hart struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Grant got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 against Hart by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
