Montgomery Central won the last time they faced Anson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Montgomery Central Timberwolves came out on top against the Anson Bearcats by a score of 8-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

Emma Parnell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyndal Rush, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Meredith Spivey, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Montgomery Central's record is now 2-0. As for Anson, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central will square off against Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anson, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bearcats face off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
