The Linsly Cadets will stay at home for another game and welcome the Martins Ferry Purple Riders at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Linsly has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Linsly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Trinity 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Martins Ferry can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They blew past Buckeye Local 66-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Martins Ferry has posted against Buckeye Local since November 23, 2020.
Linsly's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Martins Ferry, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Everything went Linsly's way against Martins Ferry in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 as Linsly made off with a 55-29 win. Will Linsly repeat their success, or does Martins Ferry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
