The Goshen Warriors waltzed into their matchup Friday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They put the hurt on Hampton with a sharp 72-46 victory. The result was nothing new for Goshen, who have now won four matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Goshen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Zeinner led the charge by scoring 24 points along with five assists and three steals. The matchup was Zeinner's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Conner Moore was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five steals.
Goshen's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Hampton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Goshen will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Batavia at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Hampton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Unicoi County at 8:00 p.m. Unicoi County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 19 contests -- so hopefully Hampton likes a good challenge.
