The McCluer Comets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 65-43 loss to Belleville West might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McCluer in their matchups with Belleville West: they've now lost four in a row.
Belleville West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Myles Liddell, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Scott, who scored 18 points.
McCluer's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Belleville West, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCluer will take on Hazelwood East at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Belleville West will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Collinsville at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
