The New Hope-Solebury Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bristol Warriors at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. New Hope-Solebury is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
After soaring to 59 points the game before, New Hope-Solebury were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Upper Moreland, falling 76-21. While losing is never fun, New Hope-Solebury can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while Upper Moreland is ranked 208th).
Meanwhile, Bristol scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took down Tacony Academy Charter 80-62. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Bristol got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyleal Cottrell out in front who scored 16 points. John Sozio was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
New Hope-Solebury dropped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bristol, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.
Everything went New Hope-Solebury's way against Bristol in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 as New Hope-Solebury made off with a 52-31 win. Will New Hope-Solebury repeat their success, or does Bristol have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
