The Lyle/Wishram Cougars won the last time they faced the Trout Lake Mustangs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Lyle/Wishram came out on top against Trout Lake by a score of 53-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lyle/Wishram.
Lyle/Wishram found their leader in underclassman Jack Thiemann, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Thiemann scored 15 or more points. Riley Smith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Lyle/Wishram's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Trout Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyle/Wishram will challenge Central Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Christian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Trout Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Lyle at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
