Glennallen had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a set and slipped past the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles 1-0. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Glennallen who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 27-25.

Cook Inlet Academy now has a losing record of 2-3.

Glennallen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Ninilchik on the 26th.
