Highlands Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against Katz Yeshiva recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will be playing at home against the Storm at 6:30 p.m. Highlands Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Highlands Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Berean Christian on Friday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Matthew Friedman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Watach, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Steven Perals was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Highlands Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Katz Yeshiva fell victim to Atlantic Christian and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They came up short against the Sharks, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Storm's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Katz Yeshiva saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Olsen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Highlands Christian pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Katz Yeshiva, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Highlands Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Katz Yeshiva struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Highlands Christian's way against Katz Yeshiva when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Highlands Christian made off with an 18-4 win. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Storm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
