There's no place like home for The Cienega Bobcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Buena by a score of 17-6 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Cienega, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Cienega found their leader in underclassman Ayden Billings, who picked up 46 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the defeat, Buena saw an underclassman step up: Jayden Thomas picked up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown. Thomas' longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
Cienega's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-4. As for Buena, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.
Cienega will look to defend their home field on Friday against Desert View at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Desert View is ranked 111th, while Cienega is ranked 89th). Buena does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
