Liberty Ranch is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Argonaut is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hawks will host the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty Ranch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Liberty Ranch needed a bit of extra time to put away Amador. They skirted past the Buffaloes 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since March 25th.

04/05/25 vs Manteca | 1 |
04/04/25 vs Edison | 1 |
04/03/25 vs Bradshaw Christian | 1 |

Bella Granata was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaitlynn Castro, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Liberty Ranch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.
Argonaut came out on top against Union Mine on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Mustangs blew past the Diamondbacks 8-1. Considering the Mustangs have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Hailey Dewald spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Argonaut got a big performance out of Bailey Baker, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Schultz, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Liberty Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Argonaut, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
Both Liberty Ranch and Argonaut just can't seem to miss. The Hawks have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Argonaut struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Liberty Ranch skirted past Argonaut 2-1 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
