Basketball Recap: Charlotte Takes Down Parrish Community in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Charlotte rose to the challenge on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 65-19 win over the Parrish Community Bulls. The Fightin' Tarpons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Adrienne Harris had a dynamite game for Charlotte, putting up 11 points along with seven steals and five boards. That's the most steals Harris has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Acelia Beals, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 11 points and three steals.

The victory (which was Charlotte's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Parrish Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.

Charlotte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-34 win against Manatee on the 8th. Parrish Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
