Volleyball Recap: Bella Mazura Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat C.B. Aycock

Rosewood won the last time they faced C.B. Aycock, and Khiry Reese did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Golden Falcons on Tuesday with plenty of help from Reese, who had 16 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Rosewood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-13, 26-24, 25-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rosewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bella Mazura, who had 17 assists and nine digs.

Rosewood has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Rosewood is taking a road trip to square off against Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for C.B. Aycock, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against J.H. Rose on the 13th.
