The Neshaminy Skins came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Harry S. Truman 52-38. Given Neshaminy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Tigers are ranked 611th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neshaminy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emeer Coombs, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Guy Horton, who scored 15 points.
Neshaminy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Harry S. Truman, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neshaminy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Council Rock North and the Skins are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Harry S. Truman, they will head out on the road to face off against the Fighting Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
